The track begins in the Bom Retiro (660m above sea level) and goes through the heart of the forest to its peak, Tijuca Peak (1021m).

The gorgeous view of 360 degrees is an excellent place to observe the park and the surroundings of the city.

Through a nice walk around the rainforest of Tijuca Forest National Park, we arrive at the top (989m altitude), where you can see South Zone and West Zone in the city, besides the beaches and the massive forest.

It has an easy going access through the forest up to the base, where we get the cable car up to the Sugar Loaf.

Hike to the top of the rock formation. The track begins at the end of the runway Cláudio Coutinho and goes to the east side of the mountain, with the Atlantic Ocean and the Guanabara Bay forming a blue wilderness of extreme beauty.

There is a small part of the climbing (8m), which is considered easy for people with experience and perfect for beginners. We use safety equipment and procedures adopted by the best climbers. The slope is by cable car to Urca Hill.

An extraordinary natural monument of granite and gneiss, the peak is 842m above sea level. It is a trail in which many residents come to, due to the amazing beauty which can be seen from there. Ideal for those who enjoy a deep trail.

Itinerary: Pick up at Hotel - stopping at the hang gliding point - go to Barra da Tijuca – go up (around 3h) - resting on top – go down –Restaurant - Drop-off at the hotel.

With 40 meters high, people come here with a great frequency, to practice rappel and cascading. On weekends and holidays, there are many visitors because of its exuberant natural beauty.

The waterfall is surrounded by Atlantic Forest, with many orchids and bromeliads. The trail begins in Açu and lasts around 1 hour to go up with difficulty in between light and moderate.

Located in the mountain region of Rio de Janeiro city, Teresópolis holds the headquarters of the National Park of Serra dos Órgãos, created in 1939 to protect the exuberant nature and rich biodiversity of this part of the Serra do Mar. On clear days, you can see from the high mountains the city of Rio and the Tijuca’s massif. The city has the hotel industry highly developed and it offers diversified trade, and hosts one of the largest craft open market in Brazil.

Teresópolis provides several options for leisure like trails, waterfalls and rock climbing - the city is known as the national capital of mountaineering - and it is ideal for the practice of horse back riding. One of the attractions is the headquarters of the CBF, where the Brazilian Football Team practices.


Itinerary of 1 day Visit the beautiful waterfalls in the low part of the Park and go through the most charming corners of the high part, like the suspended track – ideal to observe birds - the visitors center , Mozart Catão trail (you see mainly the city) and the trail called Postcard, you have privileged view with all the mountains which surround the city. ( Such as: - “God´s Finger”, Escalavrado, Our Lady of Mercy Finger Mountain and many others).

Itinerary of 2 days Do the Pedra do Sino trail, the top is 2.263m above sea level. The trail takes about 4 hours. On clear days you can see the city of Rio and the mass of the Tijuca Forest. Overnight in the forest’s shelter # 4 and return on the following morning.

Itinerary of 3 days the Petrópolis-Teresópolis trail is a national classic mountain hiking. With about 30km, crossing Serra dos Órgãos requires physical conditioning and appropriate equipment.
